Gate House 2007
Return to 1937 Plan
The Gate House is a small one-room building with a porch. It was
constructed by Grove at the main entrance to the property. Black Mountain
College used it as a music practice room. It also was a favorite site for
parties.
The bench which is now on the porch of the Gate House was one of several
which were on the property when the college purchased Lake Eden.
Alterations by Black Mountain College: Insulation and heating installed.
2007: Camp Rockmont divided it into two rooms. It is used for storage.
