On the recommendation of Walter Gropius, Harry Seidler, a student at Harvard University School of Design, enrolled at the 1946 Summer Art Institute to study with Josef Albers.

This biography was funded by a grant from the Graham Foundation for a study of architecture at Black Mountain College.
